Alice in Wonderland Costume

Black and white socks - $10 (Sock stall in shopping centre)
Black shoes - $29.95 (Spendless Shoes)
Yellow dress - ? (My mum’s bridesmaid dress from my Auntie’s wedding)
Apron - ? (Made by my mum)

This costume is based on the 1999 TV Movie of Alice in Wonderland starring Tina Majorino.  The casting and costuming of Alice in this adaptation is much more true to the novels as Alice was brunette and was mentioned wearing a yellow dress.

         

This photo also shows my fiance dressed as Death.  The Scythe was made by me from an old broom handle, cardboard and aluminium foil.

This is Arnold.  He is an African Grey Parrot and a very intelligent guy. (See Irene Pepperberg’s studies)

After Rocket the cat returned from the vets the other day it was obvious that Arnold had missed Rocket. He exclaimed ‘Hello Cat’ in his best Stephen Fry accent.

He’s never even seen Stephen Fry.
